CELEBRATE NEGRONI MONTH WITH THE LANA, DORCHESTER COLLECTION
In honour of Negroni Week, typically celebrated in September, The Lana, Dorchester Collection warmly welcomes guests to celebrate Negroni Month from 16th September to 16th October across four of its stunning venues. Paying homage to the classic Italian drink Riviera by Jean Imbert, High Society, Bitter Honey and Jara by Martín Berasategui will offer two completely distinct Negronis, each crafted to reflect the unique spirit of the location, and all priced at AED 85 each.
RIVIERA BY JEAN IMBERT
Inspired by Chef Jean Imbert’s Iconic Chocolate Soufflé tartlet, guests are invited to sip on the Soufflé Negroni, a sophisticated blend of vanilla Gin, Cocchi Barolo Chinato and toasted cacao infused Campari. With the addition of coffee-tonka bitters and a dash of saline, this beverage reflects the easy-going and lavish lifestyle of the French Riviera.
The Negroni Mandarino infuses the classic Negroni with a mandarin-infused gin, Cocchi Vermouth Storico di Torino and Campari for a refreshing and vibrant citrusy flavour. Capturing the sun-drenched essence of the French Riviera, the beverage is served with a mandarin jelly wedge for a tangy finish.
HIGH SOCIETY
Perched on the topmost floor of the The Lana, High Society presents Negronis born from mythical stories and legends. Give him the power! Negroni recounts the story of Hutzipochtli, the God of the Sun and War and the protector of the Aztec people. This powerful cocktail was curated featuring a spicy chipotle syrup, slowly dripped through a pipette into a combination of Altos Reposado tequila, Cocchi Rosa and a delicious coffee-infused Campari.
Equally captivating is the Old School Judge Negroni, drawing inspiration from Samas, the Mesopotamian God of the Earth Kings, Sun and Justice, who delivered to Hammurabi a stick and rope – both instruments of power. This cocktail is a symphony of flavours made with date-infused Gin with a dehydrated white grape-infused Mancino Bianco Ambrato, Campari, along with a delicate hibiscus infusion. Decorated with a dark chocolate stick, the Old School Judge is as authoritative as the old God with its rich yet distinctive flavour profiles.
BITTER HONEY
Inspired by the Boulevardier cocktail that originated in late 1920’s in the City of Lights, guests can relish on a specially crafted Vanilla Butter Washed Boulevardier which starts on a sweet note and finishes with a rich espresso note, all while maintaining the essence of a traditional Negroni. It features a vanilla butter washed Maker’s Mark 46 Bourbon Whiskey paired with Campari, Mancino Rosso and a dash of deliciously bitter espresso coffee. The beverage is served in a rock glass over an ice cube, topped with an orange twist, making for the perfect sip.
For those seeking an extra thrill, the Heated Thorn Negroni is a bold beverage that is sure to stun the guests. Featuring a chili and dried hibiscus infused Se Busca Mezcal Reposado, Campari and Cocchi Rosso, garnished with a slice of smoked meat and drizzled with a few drops of red chili olive oil and lime oil, it is an appreciation of Mescal’s complex flavours, making each sip one to remember.
JARA BY MARTÍN BERASATEGUI
Jara by Martín Berasategui’s one-of-a-kind cocktail creations include Jara Negroni and Carnivoro. The Jara Negroni, inspired by the rich heritage of local ingredients is a beautiful blend of tradition with modern mixology techniques. Each sip is a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship that defines this exquisite beverage, inviting diners to explore the intricate flavours of the vibrant Basque region.
True to its name, the Carnivoro celebrates the Basque culinary tradition of fat washing Txuleton into smoky Mezcal Visa mixed with Mancino Rosso, Campari and elevated by a splash of olive brine for a hint of saltiness. Bringing a slice of Basque cuisine to the heart of Dubai, this savoury beverage is garnished with a pickled olive and pan-seared beef bacon.
The Lana, Dorchester Collection promises unforgettable moments this Negroni Month with its unique, yet delicious selection of negronis for just AED 85 each.
