Carna, the contemporary steakhouse by legendary butcher Dario Cecchini located on the 74th floor of SLS Dubai, is set to temporarily bid farewell to its guests with a memorable closing Toscan Drunch party. The restaurant will temporarily close its doors starting from July, embarking on an extensive renovation endeavour aimed at elevating the dining experience to new heights and unveiling a refreshed, contemporary look.
Promising an exquisite affair and bespoke Italian hospitality, Carna is set to end the season on a high note with its Toscan Drunch featuring homely nostalgia with a picnic-inspired gathering surrounded by friends and family. The evening will be filled with eclectic live music, dancers, and non-stop beats courtesy of the resident DJ and The Youngers, hailing from south-eastern Pennsylvania, who will headline the evening with their all-American country and rock n roll hits. Guests will enjoy the feel-good vibe, savouring an array of hearty Italian delights and a wide selection of perfectly concocted drinks as they wine and dine Tuscan style throughout the evening of revelry.
Guests are in for a treat, as they will be treated to a welcome drink upon entering the rich and warm interiors of Carna. The evening promises a true indulgence, highlighted by the exclusive Dario’s box showcasing a meticulously curated assortment of starters and beloved Italian favourites, predominantly sourced from the charming region of Tuscany. The selection includes Homemade Italian Bread Basket, Fresh and Smoked Mozzarellas, Manzo Board with coppa, salami, bresaola, and pancetta, and the Tuscan favourite, Pappa Al Pomodoro, a bread soup made from fresh tomatoes with garlic, basil, and oregano. Completing the Florentine-inspired starters are a classic Italian Sandwich and a mouth-watering Grilled Panzanella Salad.
Offering the ultimate Carna experience with prime cuts and unrivalled quality, the main course will deliver Chef Dario’s signature flavours. The menu boasts a delectable array of dishes, including the tantalizing Parmigiana with baked local eggplant, confit garlic, parmigiano, and basil, Grilled Pincaha with olive oil and herbs, Grilled Fish drizzled with lemon, and freshly made Roasted Baby Potatoes with olive oil, garlic, and rosemary, making this drunch a rich epicurean delight. To conclude the culinary journey on a sweet note, a selection of desserts awaits, including the enticing Milk and Honey with its velvety Italian milk custard and honey marshmallow, and guests’ favourite, the Strawberry Crostata with its luscious combination of shortcrust pastry, juicy strawberries, and delightful vanilla chantilly cream.
